The Nautical Story of Portside
In 2010, Portside was born out of a desire to harness 90 years of insurance experience into a focussed marine insurance offering.
At the forefront of this marine-focussed endeavour is Matt Hoey, who traces his passion for boating to a time when his grandfather was living in a boat-building community in Scotland. This lifestyle carried over into the waters of Canada where Matt grew up learning all about sailing and powerboating from his Dad.
The Portside team was built out of a shared enthusiasm for being on the water. They have dedicated their knowledge and time to serving the people in boating communities all across Canada. Portside is your trusted provider of carefree boating.
